Maximum Dia of hole in base plate for HAS threaded bar

Team, can we use 3/4" Hilti HAS rod in 1 1/8" hole in base plate?

Hi Rahul,

The diameter of fixture hole used in Hilti's testing may vary depending on type of anchor and installation method used. For more information, it is recommended to reference the section of the Anchor Fastening Technical Guide corresponding to the anchor you are designing with. Using an alternate fixture hole diameter will ultimately be at the discretion of the Engineer of Record on the project.

Hi, We are using 3/4 inch dia x 12 inch length Hilti HAS-E-55 HDG anchor rod with Hilti HIT HY 200 Adhesive. Can you please share maximum hole dia for this particular bolt

Hi Rahul,

Please see Table 38 on page 57 of the Anchor Product Technical Guide for the installation specifications for a threaded rod with the HIT-HY 200 V3 adhesive anchor. A 3/4” threaded rod will require a 7/8” hole into the concrete per the table.
