Lower MAsonry compressive strength

I have a customer who wants to use the Titen HD post drill anchor to a grout filled masonry unit during erection. That being said, the grout compressive strength during intermediate period is lower than what the ESR requires. ESR requires a minimum of 1500 psi for masonry compressive strength. On the free version of the HILTI profis that I am using, there is no option to adjust the masonry compressive strength. If I purchase the premium version, do you have this option to adjust the Masonry Compressive Strength (F'm) to get the desired value?

Hilti Verified

Hello,

You are unable to adjust the compressive strength of the grout within PROFIS Engineering. If you are installing an anchor with grout that has a compressive strength that is outside the scope of Hilti’s testing, the decision would be up to the engineering judgement of the Engineer of Record or on-site testing to account for variability in performance.

Please note, the Titen HD is not a Hilti anchor. A Hilti screw anchor option to consider would be the KH-EZ.

Ashley
