Large Diameter Adhesive Anchors
I've been asked if there is any way to design 1.5" diameter A36 adhesive anchors. The anchors need to be capable of resisting a maximum tension force of 46,600 pounds in cracked concrete.

Hello,
Hilti has performed supplemental testing for HIT-RE 500 V3 with threaded rods with a diameter greater than 1 1/4", but only for uncracked concrete conditions. For more information, please reference the technical bulletin for large diameter elements with HIT-RE 500 V3 on Hilti's website. The information provided in this document can be used in conjunction with ESR-3814 to evaluate larger steel elements.
Ultimately, all design decisions are at the discretion of the Engineer of Record on the project.
Regards,
Matthew

Thank you for the quick feedback Matthew. I tried searching the Technical Documents, but obviously didn't type in the right keywords to find the bulletin you pointed me to. Much appreciated!
