In Profis, why can't I select a stainless steel KB3 for use in solid grouted CMU? The only choice is the KB1 which is not stainless. Also, why can't I change the embedment depth?

The stainless steel KB3 is not approved for masonry base materials, so it will not be available in the Anchoring-to-Masonry module in PROFIS Engineering. For a stainless-steel wedge anchoring alternative in grout-filled CMU, you may consider using the KB-TZ2 SS304 or SS316. However, there may be settings in your current design file that are filtering this option out. In general, the embedment depths in the software will be limited to the scope of supportive testing performed by Hilti for each anchor.
