Why is the 5/8" Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ2 only evaluated to a max effective embedment depth of 4 inches in Profis when it is available in lengths up to 10 inches long.

The 5/8” Kwik Bolt TZ2 only has testing for effective embedments (hef) up to 4”, where the effective embedment is the depth of the anchor that transfers loads to the base material and it used in anchor capacity and utilization calcualtions. The length of the anchor is the total length of the anchor which includes the thickness of the material being fastened, the nut and washer thickness as well as the effective embedment. Hef is limited by testing. Hilti offers several length options to accommodate different applications where anchor plate thicknesses may vary.
