I am designing a Hilti Kwik TZ2. In the image attached I have circled a calculation where I am not getting the same answer as Profis. For some reason with the inputs I circled in red Profis is calculating 1.0. When manually calculating those inputs, I get 0.56. This is quite a large discrepancy. Where is Profis getting this value from? How is it calculating that the answer is 1.0?
Hi Christian,
Information on how Ψcp,N is calculated can be found beginning on page 232 of the PROFIS Engineering Design Guide. According to equation 17.6.2.6.1a in ACI 318-19, if ca,min ≥ cac, then Ψcp,N will be equal to 1.0. Additionally, if you are designing in cracked concrete, Ψcp,N will also be equal to 1.0.

Ashley
