I have a 3.5" slab over 2" metal deck that I want to anchor into with 1/2" KH-EZ w/ 4.25" nominal embed. The product data states that the min. hole depth for this anchor is 4-5/8" and that min. cover above the drilled hole is 1". By these criteria, I would be precluded from using this anchor since the cover would be 5.5" - 4-5/8" = 7/8".
However, Profis tells me that for this same setup, I only need 3-1/4" concrete over 2" metal deck to meet the minimum requirement, which would yield only 5/8" cover.
I would appreciate some guidance on which of these scenarios is correct. I've included some screenshots for reference.

Per Footnote 3 under Figure 12 in ESR-3027, the minimum concrete thickness above the upper flute for a 1/2" diameter KH-EZ is 3-1/4". This can be seen in the snippet attached and aligns with the information in PROFIS Engineering. Additionally, information regarding the installation parameters of the KH-EZ into the underside of concrete-filled steel deck can be found in Table 5 in ESR-3027.
