We are constructing a rated blind wall on a project in Berkeley, CA. The wall is being constructed in segments and slide into place. The inspector is requesting a listed detail assembly for the horizontal and vertical joints on the blind wall side where we can't fire tape the joints. I've attached a photo showing the walls being installed in sections. I've also attached a typical detail of the wall assembly.
Do you have any products that can be applied within the stud bay at the joint locations to address this concern?
