1/2" and 5/8" dia. Kwik Bolt TZ2 SS316 anchors were specified for securing equipment to the top of a concrete slab for seismic resistance for a wastewater treatment plant in North Carolina (Building Category III w/ SDC C). The contractor used, HST2-R anchors that came with the equipment by accident. The HST2-R anchors have an equal or greater embedment depth than the specified Kwik Bolt TZ2 anchors and edge distances are met. Profis does have HST2, HST3, and HST3-R options, but not HST2-R. However, thus far it appears, HST2 anchors are meeting the demands per the program and thus far in the comparison review, the HST2/3 ETA report appears to be closely similar to the KBTZ2 ICC. Would Hilti be able to offer their manufacturer's knowledge and any additional information on this?

The HST anchors are not available in Hitli North America and therefore, have not been tested according to the code requirements in the United States. Since the two anchors were tested according to different code requirements, there is not a resource that compares the two anchors.
