Is it possible to drill through existing embed plate? can we still get the same capacity from the HDA-T undercut anchors?
I have a situation where I need to post install a plate using HDA-T undercut anchors. There is already an existing embed plate which is not adequate for the new load. Can we drill through the existing embed plate on wall, and attach new plate using HDA-T anchors? If yes, is there any loss in capacity by doing so? Is there anything else need to be checked?

Hi Prbhash,
Unfortunately, Hilti does not have any testing for the HDA anchors installed through an embed plate. Any design decisions would be up to the engineering judgement of the Engineer of Record on the project.
