Is it possible to check anchors on the top of a composite metal deck over high flutes (rather than low flutes)?

Is it possible to check anchors on the top of a composite metal deck over high flutes (rather than low flutes)?

I am checking anchorage to composite metal deck at a condition parallel to the girders. I want to make sure that the anchorage works with a 3" edge distance to the edge of composite deck. However, I am unable to move the anchors. Currently they are modeled being above low flutes but I need to check them above the high flutes.

Hi Tanya,

When installing into the top of concrete over metal deck, the minimum concrete thickness is measured from the top of the upper flute to the top of the concrete. Lower flutes are not considered as part of the concrete thickness for overhead installation since in many cases, installers are not able to determine where the upper and lower flutes are when looking at the metal deck from a birds eye view.

Best,
Emily
