Installation Torque
Per Table 38 of North American Product Technical Guide (Volume 2: Anchor Fastening Technical Guide, Edition 22), installation torque for 1" dia HAS rods is 150 ft-lb for any embedment depth from 4" to 20".
Can the installation torque be raised to 275 ft-lb for 20" embedment? Also, please indicate what minimum grade of HAS rod needs to be used to achieve 275 ft-lb installation Torque, if allowed.

Hi Pradip,
The installation torque published is a maximum installation torque to avoid breaking the adhesive bond. Hilti doesn't recommend exceeding this value for any embedment depth, due to the chances of the bond breaking. The type of rod is not going to change this published torque value.
