Increasing the number of anchors in Profis Masonry
It seems that Profis limits the number of anchors to 6 in the Masonry. Can I increase the number of anchors?

Hi Nic,
Generally speaking, the ASD calculations for masonry are relevant to the highest loaded anchor. Large anchor groups at close spacing is therefore not considered in PROFIS Engineering. Hilti chose to limit the anchor layout for masonry to 6-anchors.

OK. Other than analyzing the connection by hand, any suggestions on checking an (8) anchor plate?

Hi Nic,
Due to the software limitation, hand calculations are the primary alternative for evaluating this connection.
More information on ASD design can be found in Section 3.1.4 on page 15 of the Anchor Fastening Technical Guide and in Section 3.1.9 on page 21.
