In firestop assembly W-L-1054 there is a requirement that the pipe be rigidly supported on both sides of the wall assembly. How is rigidly supported defined.
WE are having a discussion regarding how far from the wall are the supports to be located?

Hello,
According to UL, "where the individual system specifies the penetrating item is to be rigidly supported on both sides of wall or floor, the support system should be designed based upon the premise the firestop system provides no support". Supports should be installed per code.
