IN 1/2 HR FIRE PARTITION ONLY NEED TO FIRESTOP ONE SIDE?
2" PVC pipe through 1/2" HR GWB Partition. Only need to Firestop one side? Please confirm.

Hi Jake,
To the best of our knowledge no listed firestop
systems exist for a 1/2-HR fire rating. We would treat a 1/2-HR fire rated
assembly similar to a 1-HR assembly. For a 2" PVC pipe I would recommend
using either W-L-2078 or W-L-2474. If either of these systems do not
meet your exact application needs, we can address your application through an
Engineering Judgment which will be a custom detail showing your exact
application with the firestop components required to maintain the stated
ratings.
