i have a 3 hour CMU fire wall with a 3 hour rated door opening. however, the door frame is 2" shorter than the masonry opening, leaving a 2" gap in the wall. is there a fire safeing assembly for filling this gap with mineral wool and coating it? (gap = 2" tall x 8" deep x 8'-4" wide)
surely this isnt the first time a mason made an opening too big.
