HY 270 and threaded rod connection to top of multi-wythe brick wall
I am try to run a design for anchorage down to the top of a multi-wythe brick wall. It is only giving me one anchor size option (3/8 HIT-SC 16x85) for the connection. Why is this the only option and could I not use 1/2" dia. anchor at this condition?

Hi Alex,
Per Hilti's Technical Information, this is the only size of anchor we tested for this application. See snippet attached, and technical information here. If you were wanting to use a different diameter, Hilti does not have testing so it would be up to the Engineer of Record and Hilti would recommend onsite testing.
