Good Day, I was wondering if there is an approved system for a HVAC duct (26x14) through a 1-hr rated roof? The duct would then be ran on the roof. Another penetration for a duct will go to a roof mounted fan. Please let me know, thanks.

Thank you for reaching out to the Hilti Fire Protection Design Team to assist you with your firestop engineering needs. We have several systems for ducts through rated concrete floors. If your roof is a concrete roof, then I would recommend taking a look at the Firestop Select located on the Hilti Construction Platform (see below for more info). For your roof mounted fan application and if the roof is not a concrete roof, we would need to address your application through an Engineering Judgment, which will be a custom detail showing your exact application with the firestop components required to maintain the stated ratings.
