I am building a wall system and have a hvac duct going in it roughly 18" by 32" with a damper located at the wall system. I need to provide the firestop system for this wall, and would like to see what the options are. contact me if any clarifiations are needed

Unfortunately, none of our systems are designed for damper ducts. As such, we can address your application through an Engineering Judgment which will be a custom detail showing your exact application with the firestop components required to maintain the stated ratings.

So how about having just the duct work going through the wall, would it be alright to have the area between the duct and drywall to have some sort of sealant applied? Or how specific do I need to have the detailed drawings?
