HOW TO ADD A STIFFENER FROM COLUMN TO BASE PLATE
I HAVE AN EXISTIG HSS COLUMN AND BASE PLATE WITH 2 AB'S. ONE AB IS TOO SHORT AND A NEW AB IS NEEDED. HOW DO I ADD STIFFENER PLATES TO THE BASE PLATE TO REDUCE PRYING

Hi Art,
To add stiffeners in your design within PROFIS Engineering, you must be designing using the CBFEM methodology. Once you have selected the CBFEM calculation type, the stiffeners option can be found under the "Profiles" tab on the left side of the screen (see snip below). 
Please note that the design methodology decision is ultimately at the discretion of the Engineer of Record (EOR) on the project.
