How long to wait to apply proof loads to post-installed adhesive anchors?

For proof testing of post-installed adhesive anchors, is there a code section that specifies when the testing can be done? Testing must be done after the epoxy has cured which, of course, varies depending on the specific epoxy. Is this requirement specified in a building code section, by ACI, or ICC report?

Hi Brent,

The requirement to load an adhesive anchor after curing is based on industry standards and guidelines. ACI 355.4-19 lays out guidelines for the qualifications of post-installed adhesive anchors in concrete. Within this qualification is specific performance criteria, including the requirement to wait until the adhesive is fully cured to load the anchor.

Ashley
