How is Profis Calculating the Characteristic Flexural Resistance of Anchor M0s?

Can you help me understand the bending calc attached.  I’m
trying to get M0s, which Profis calculates 525 in-lbs.

I can’t get the same result when I calculate manually.

M0s = 1.2 x S x fu,min
S = pi x d^3 / 32 = 3.14 x (0.5^3)/ 32 = .01227 in3
F,u min = 58000 lbs/ in2

When I do this manually I get 854.12 in-lbs
Can you help me understand how Profis got the M0s value of
525 in-lbs?
Thanks!

Hi Eric,

Please reference this previous Ask Hilti response regarding Characteristic Flexural Resistance of Anchor calculations in PROFIS Engineering. The S equation uses the minor diameter of the threaded rod versus the published major diameter.

Best,
Sam

Many thanks for your reply Sam. I see that minor diameters are listed here for threaded rod, but I can't find it for the TZ2. Do we assume they are the same values? https://viewer.joomag.com/product-technical-guides-us-en-anchor-fastening-august-2021/0929173001570655195?short&
