How does Profis handle a shear force that is rotational in the plane of the plate?
When a load is applied that would cause the plate/anchor group to experience a rotational force in the plane of the plate Profis appears to calculate forces in x and y on each anchor in both positive and negative directions. It then seems to check only one of the directions with a load in that direction. I would like to understand what it is doing and why it isn't checking anything in the other direction.

Hi Jason,
Information on the modification factor for anchors loaded eccentrically in shear can be found on page 180 of the PROFIS Engineering Design Guide. If you have further questions, please email your ".pe" file to hnatechnicalservices@hilti.com.
Regards,
Ashley
