Please confirm that for HLC sleeve anchors in the face of grout-filled block there is no minimum embedment into the grout itself.
Table 4 of the product technical guide requires a minimum embedment of 1-1/4" for 3/8" diameter anchors. Since the face shell for 8" CMU is 1-1/4", the minimum anchor embedment as measured from the outside face of the unit (per note 2) will not include the grouted cell. Please confirm this is acceptable. If not, please indicate where in the technical guide the minimum embedment into grout is specified.

Per Table 4 of Section 3.3.18 of Hilti’s Anchor Fastening Product Technical Guide, the nominal embedment for a 3/8” HLC sleeve anchor into grout-filled CMU is 1-1/4”, this is measured from the outside face of the CMU block. If this nominal embedment is achieved along with the edge distance requirements, the tension and shear values listed in the table are able to be used.
