I have a 1/2" hole already drilled and 1/2" diameter hole in base plate. I want to use a 3/8" diameter threaded rod epoxy anchor. per table 38 of anchor fastening technical guide Edition 22 calls for nominal bit diameter of 7/16" that means my current 1/2inch hole is oversized by 1/16 inch.
Question is can use this 3/8 inch diameter anchor at the 1/2 inch anchor hole.
is there a tolerance to the nominal bit diameter?

Hilti does not have any test data for hole sizes that are larger than what is published in the product technical guide for the HIT-HY 200 V3 adhesive anchoring system with a threaded rod. Hilti has however performed limited additional testing with the HIT-RE 500 V3 adhesive anchoring system in oversized holes. Please click here to access the technical bulletin for more information.
