Hilti HDI and HD-L allowed for seismic

The HDI and HDI-L drop-in anchors are not seismically approved. However, the HDI-P TZ and HDI-TZ drop-in anchors are approved from seismic conditions. For more information, please reference ESR-4236.

Thank you. I have additional question; can I embed the drop-in anchor deeper to increase the concrete breakout capacity?

Hi LJ,

Hilti has not performed testing with drop-in anchors beyond the published embedment depth values, so anchor performance is unknown. It would ultimately be up to the engineer on the project to evaluate the anchors and determine if they are suitable for the given application.
