The project is listing a 1.5" downward deflection, but no upward movement required. What head of wall details are available to make this work? I want to avoid adding additional layers of drywall, and would prefer to have a single layer of drywall stop 2" or so short of the metal deck above.
Hi Brandon, unfortunately there is no UL listed system that would allow 1.5" downward movement with CP 606 like you are asking for. We can however look at providing an EJ with HILTI CFS SP WB Waterbased spray or adding additional rips of gyp to achieve your movement. Please see below on how to submit for an EJ.
