Hi-lo GWB screw to attach Metal Framing top track to wood
We have installed our top track per ASTM C745 with the following requirement:
5.2.3 Runners to Wood—Shall be fastened with screws
providing not less than 1 in. (25 mm) penetration or nails
providing 11 ⁄2 in. (38 mm) penetration into the wood
The inspector has requested that we get a letter stating that we would be able to use this type of screw for this application.
