Hi - I'm looking for allowable load values for Hilti X-BT stud fasteners into cast iron. The product comparisons say they can be used in cast iron, but I can only locate load values for A36 and 50ksi steel.
We are looking at fastening unistrut members to cast iron subway tunnel lining.

Hi David,
Hilti does not have testing for the X-BT into cast iron. You may consider performing some test fastening into the cast iron to determine if penetration is happening. In terms of capacity, onsite testing is recommended to determine capacity of the pin being used since Hilti has no testing into cast iron.
