Help using PROFIS to model 2 large load anchor bolts.

There are 2 anchor bolts (assumed 1.50" diameter HAS-B-105) at 22" apart with 290,000 factored tension load. I need a cast-in-place option with an assumed 2" thick x 7" diameter at the bottom of the cast-in anchor rod, and also a Hilti RE-500 epoxy option with the same rod. I see the Plate or Washer option but it doesn't seem to do anything. Is RE-500 capable being designed to such high tension load (seismic, short duration).

Profis not producing results 1.50 diameter,RE500 not getting a result

Hi Todd,

Additional testing and data for HIT-RE 500 V3 with large diameter elements can be found in this technical bulletin. PROFIS Engineering cannot analyze diameters larger than 1-1/4" since its calculations are pulling data from the anchor's ICC ES Report; alternatively, a hand calculation be made based off of the data in the large diameter technical bulletin.

Ultimately, all design decisions are at the discretion of the Engineer of Record (EOR) on the project.

Regards,
Emily
