Head Of Wall Question

Good afternoon,

we are currently working on a project, and we have come across some head of wall issues, that I believe are incorrect but wanted to double check before we ripped them out.

We have a fireproofed I beam, where the gypsum wall meets it in the first picture. I know that pink material is incorrect. But I wanted to see if there was a possibility of gettig an EJ with how it is, just removing the pink mortar. Or if we need to remove the gypsum and stuff it. I did have one of the guys remove it so see what’s behind it. But the second picture is of that. Thank you for your help.

Hello, can you confirm the product type and manufacturer of the pink spray, as it does not appear to be a Hilti product. Hilti could most likely provide an EJ; however, it will most likely require the removal of the pink spray. If you would like to submit for a Hilti EJ please see below.
Thank you
