HAS-V-36 vs F1554
What is the difference between the Hilty HAS-V-36 anchor and a standard off the shelf F1554, grade 36 threaded rod? Can a standard threaded rod be used in substitution for HAS-V-36 with HIT-HY 200 Epoxy?

Hi Lauren,
Hilti specific threaded steel rods are not required to be used with HIT-HY 200 V3. See Section 3.2.5.2 on page 2 of ESR-4868 for information on threaded rod requirements.
Best,
Emily

Hi again Lauren,
Yes, PROFIS Engineering may be used to model threaded rod as long as the grade and compliances match up to the specific threaded rod chosen in the software. HAS-V-36 is a specific manufacturer's threaded rod that meets the standards of the F1554 and Grade 36 requirements; HAS-V-36 is available with different corrosion resistances (i.e. HDG) but these do not impact anchor calculations.
Best,
Emily

Thank you for your reply!
Is the Hilti Profis software still appropriate to use when not using a HAS-V-36 rod?
Are there differences between a HAS-V-36 and a standard off the shelf F1554, grade 36 threaded rod?
Thank you again,
