fixed point for pipes with insulation

For Insulated Pipes.



The Fixed Point shall be installed directly on the pipe itself before applying the Insulation.



As sometimes the insulation has large thicknesses.



I believe this will lead to failure in the fixed point mechanism, as there is no fixed grip on the pipe itself.



Kindly advice my understanding is correct.



 I suggested just having EPDM to protect the pipe, and after installing the fixed point the insulation can cover the fixed point from top.
