However, based on the description of the application you provided, I have attached WWS-0048 which addresses how to treat the joint for a gypsum wall stacked on top of a CMU wall. You can review this system and see if they work for your application.
If they do not, we can review your application for an Engineering Judgment (EJ). An Engineering Judgment is a custom detail showing your exact application with the firestop components required to maintain the stated ratings.
