Fire Stop Detail for Gyp Wall to Diagonal HSS Cross Bracing Does detail HI/JF 120-01 apply to Diagonal HSS cross bracing as well or only members that run vertically? Is there a standard detail for firestop to a HSS diagonal cross brace?

The Intertek detail HI/JF 120-01 does not apply to W shape, rectangular HSS or circular structural steel at an angle through the plane of the wall. This condition in most cases can be addressed with an engineering judgment, which will be a custom detail showing your exact application with the firestop components required to maintain the stated ratings.
