Fastening Awning to Brick Wall
More appropriate strength-wise to use Kwikcon 1/4"x 3 1/4" THH or 5/16" threaded rod at 3 1/8" depth with or without HIT-HY 270, composite, or threaded insert? Intended to anchor steel awning (through attached angle brackets sized for 1/4" fastener) to brick wall above entrance.

Hi Phillip,
Technical information for the Kwik Con can be found in Section 3.3.19 and technical information for HIT-HY 270 can be found in Section 3.2.4 of Hilti’s Anchor Fastening Product Technical Guide. Ultimately, the final decision on the anchor to install is up to the discretion of the Engineer of Record for the project.
