Exterior intumescent paint

Is the CFP-SP AWHB a hard coat? How resistant to damage is it? Does it chip or can be picked at? If the paint finish is damaged does that compromise the intumescent coating? Is there any special training needed to repair paint coating if it is damaged?
Can the CFP-SP WB 120 be used at exterior applications?

Hello Steve,

Hilti Fire Finish 120 CFP SP WB is a fireproofing intumescent product. The required mil thickness based on the steel size you have must be applied and restored if chipped. You can apply more product to restore mils without any training. 120 can be used on an exterior application, all you need to do is apply the required top coat listed on the UL system. Please contact usspeng@hilti.com if you need additional information.

Thank you,
