Epoxy Anchors in Cracked Concrete - Crack Size
For adhesive anchors in cracked concrete, what is the maximum crack size they can be installed in and provide the published strength?

Hi Chad,
With consideration for the protection of the reinforcing steel, crack widths, per ACI 318 and CSA A23.3 are assumed to be less than approximately 0.02” (0.5 mm) for seismic loading and approximately 0.012” (0.3 mm) for other cases. For more information please see this Ask Hilti article.
