As you can see from the attachment, we have a floor / ceiling assembly where the perimeter beam is sprayed with insumescent paint to achieve a 3-hr rating. Ownership finds this finish unacceptable and wants these coated members encapsulated with gypsum wall board. Our concern is we don't know how to attach GWB without compromising the intumescent paint.
