Embeddment Max for KWIK-x Bolt
Hello, our engineer is telling us that if we have embedded a 9" L anchor more than 7.25" (its a 3/4" x 9" anchor) that the design capacity is voided. Is this correct? We have installed these approximately 8" to be snug against a beam we were bolting on to a concrete face.

Hi Rachel,
Hilti has performed supportive testing for Kwik-X up to a nominal embedment depth of 7.25" for a 3/4" anchor. For embedment depths that exceed 7.25", the use of engineering judgement will be required to determine anchor capacity. For more technical information on Kwik-X, please see ESR-5065.
