Embed Plate Type - Stud Grade B vs Type B

When selecting the "Embed plate" family in Profis, the only available "Type" is "Embed plate D1.1 GR. B". AWS D1.1 does not refer to a grade B. Is this GR. B meant to refer to the type B for stud anchors for defining material property requirements (table 9.1)?

Hi Aidan,

The Grade B in the “AWS D1.1 Gr. B” refers to the American Welding Society’s (AWS) standard/certification for the type of stud required and the required welding process of the stud to the embed plate. Thus, Hilti’s PROFIS Engineering calculations are based on this specific AWS standard and are shown specifically to guide the user to the correct standard/certification for their project.

After emailing with HILTI, they've confirmed that GR. B should be referring to Type B in AWS D1.1 per the PROFIS engineering design guide.
