Good Day,
I'd like to know which UL Assemblies the "Edge of Slab Quickseal CFS-EOS QS" can be used on. I'm not sure if this product is suitable for UL assembly XHDG CW-D-1028.
If possible can you suggest a slab edge firestop for UL curtain wall (CW-D) joint systems.
Hello - CFS-EOS QS is not currently used with any UL Approved Perimeter Joint Systems. We have several Intertek Approved Perimeter Joint Systems with this product which I have attached here. Both Intertek and UL evaluate perimeter joint systems to the ASTM E2307 test standard and both are widely accepted 3rd party testing agencies.
As a side note, I was not able to find system CW-D-1028 anywhere on UL's website. Was this maybe a typo? In any case, please take a look at these attached systems. If the systems do not work for your condition, we can help you by providing an Engineering Judgment which will be a custom detail showing your exact application with the firestop components required to maintain the stated ratings.
