drill bit for KB-TZ2 anchors

ESR-4266 only lists TE-YD or TE-CD drill bits with a Hilti vacuum.
Can a TE-Y drill bit combined with air blow-out cleaning still meet the requirement of ESR-4266

Hi Brian,

Referencing Step 1a in Figure 7 of ESR-4266, a standard hammer drill bit may be used to install the KB-TZ2. The KB-TZ2 does not require hole cleaning when using this drilling method, but it can be done if desired.

To be clear, from ERS-4266, section 4.3 Installation: The Hilti KBTZ2 must be installed in accordance with manufacturer's published instructions and this report. In case of conflict, this report governs. Anchors must be installed in holes drilled into the concrete using carbide-tipped masonry drill bits complying with ANSI B212.15-1994, using the Hilti Safe SetSystem™ with Hilti TE-YD or TE-CD Hollow Drill Bits. Are you saying that because the IFU are included at the end of the report that they then become part of the report? Do you also then agree that the above excerpt is incorrect and in conflict, as IFU shows a TE-Y bit as acceptable?

Hi Brian,

Figure 7 is included as a part of ESR-4266. Section 4.2.3 of the report includes hammer drilling as an approved drilling method, which is consistent with the published instructions. Please see the attached image for reference.
