Dowel into solid grouted Structural Clay Masonry
I am anchoring into 8" solid grouted Clay Masonry with rebar, should I use HY-270 or a different product? I do not see testing results for structural 8" Clay Masonry, do I use Solid wythe Brick wall values? Or Concrete Masonry testing values? Or neither?

Hi Nicholas,
Hilti does not have testing into structural clay masonry. It will be up to the EOR to decide if engineering judgement is suitable to use brick or grout-filled CMU as a basis for design using HIT-HY 270. Hilti would recommend onsite testing to verify capacity.
