Document published by Hilti conflicts with ESR 3027

We are reviewing the Hilti KH-EZ anchor data for an application in precast 'sandwich' panels (1 1/2" outer shell) and have identified what appears to be a conflict between the published hollow-core document and the requirements contained in ESR-3027. Please advise if the hmin values from the ESR can be ignored for this application.

Hi Jeremy,

Thank you for reaching out. ESR-3027 is specifically for anchorage into standard cracked or uncracked concrete slabs and does not apply to hollow core panels. The technical supplement, “Hilti Anchors for Attachments to Hollow Core Concrete Panels” is supplementary data specifically for hollow core concrete and is separate from the data contained in ESR-3027. For any further questions, please contact hnatechnicalservices@hilti.com.

Regards,
Katelyn
