Diamond Core Bit Mechanism

Diamond Core Bit Mechanism

My company recently updated our drilling standards and will now be requiring diamond cored holes for certain conditions. If possible would you be able to elaborate on how the core breaks away from the remaining concrete after drilling? I will be giving a presentation on the updated construction methods to our contractors and I would like to be able to better explain the process as opposed to saying "The core will be easily removable after drilling." We plan on using HIT 500-RE 500 V3 with threaded rods along with the TE-YRT roughening tool. Typically we will be drilling holes from 5/8"-1" to the minimum specified embedment.

Hi Daniel,

For the tool you are using, how to remove the concrete from the core bit will be detailed out in the operating instructions document of that specific tool. If you would like to discuss the process further, please reach out to our customer service team at 1-800-879-8000.

Best,
Mia
