C.2. states that the T rating 1 HR doesnt apply when inside wall cavities?
I need a cp680 p system for 2" plastic, 3" plastic and 4" plastic all holding at least a 1 HR T rating. I need to also find a system for max insulated 1" copper pipe with 1.5" insulation glass fiber or pvc/
I also need one for a max 4" bare metal floor penetration through floor through a cp680p sleeve that holds a 1 hr T rating as well. Can I get a system for all three of those that also gives me a T rating of 1 HR and follows the forms ive attached? Thanks
Hello, I have attached 3 systems, F-A-5017, F-A-1207 and F-A-2092. FA 5017 only has a 3/4" hr T rating with what you are asking, so that may require an Engineering Judgement (EJ) (see below). F-A-1207 is with endoshield and will provide bare metallic a 1 or 2hr T rating. Finally F-A-2092 is with plastic pipes and will allow for a 2hr T rating. Please be advised the pipe diameter will need to match the correct CP 680; Ie a 4" pipe in a 4" CP 680.

Because of the numerous field conditions encountered, it is not always possible to identify a firestop system that has been tested / classified by a nationally recognized independent testing laboratory (such as Underwriters Laboratories, Underwriters Laboratories of Canada, Factory Mutual, Intertek/Omega Point, etc.). In such a case, an Engineering Judgment (“EJ”) or Firestop Custom Detail (“FCD”) may be appropriate. An EJ/FCD represents a firestop solution that would be expected to pass the stated ratings and requirements if tested.
All Hilti EJ’s/FCD’s are designed in accordance with the International Firestop Council (“IFC”) guidelines. These EJ’s/FCD’s are designed by our experienced degreed fire protection technicians using, as the basis for our opinion:
• relevant 3rd-party testing in accordance with ASTM E-84, ASTM E-119, ASTM E-136, ASTM E-814, ASTM E-1966, ASTM E-2307, CAN/ULC-S115-11, UL 263, UL 723, UL 1479, UL 2079, or ASTM E-2837 • wide-ranging related internal testing of our firestop products, and • extensive knowledge and experience of the performance characteristics of Hilti firestop products, and firestopping technology generally.
Pursuant to IFC guidelines, each EJ/FCD is intended for one specific jobsite, since even slight variances from one application to the next can affect system performance.
