Concrete to Concrete Structural Joint c1 Cover Question

Hello, I am attempting to design a connection where a concrete beam is connecting perpendicularly to an existing concrete beam. I am using the Concrete to Concrete Structural Joint module to get a rough idea of the development length required to transfer the shear and moment from the new concrete beam into the existing concrete beam. However, I noticed there is an error which says "The end concrete cover (c1) needs to be larger or equal to the minimum concrete cover (c_min = 3.125 in)." The concrete cover we have set is over that amount so I am not sure how to resolve this error message or understand what is prompting it.
