I’m using Profis design software (.pe file attached) and have a question regarding cast in place solutions for hex head vs square head anchor bolts. This may be a stupid question, but I’m having trouble determining why a hex head bolt is failing when a square head bolt checks? The only thing I can think of is that a hex head has less bearing on the baseplate then a square head? Not sure. Hoping for some guidance if possible.
The failure mode is tension in the steel.
