Can Hilti X-HCB Shear Connector be attached to a steel beam coated in Intumescent paint?
I spoke with a representative from Hilti over the phone, and they said that there’s no mention in the specs about incompatibility with Intumescent paint. They recommended I reach out to you for confirmation. Could you confirm whether it can be used or not?

Hi Zachary,
Unfortunately, Hilti's X-HVB shear connector is not able to be used with steel beams covered with an intumescent reactive fire coating. For additional assistance, please reach out to hnatechnicalservices@hilti.com or give us a call at 877-749-6337.
